Hi, I have recently had issues with my bonnet lock not opening when i turn the key, i have had this fixed but i now have a issue with the bonnet open warning light being constantly on even though it is not.
Any idea how to fix this without buying a new lock/latch for £70? Is it possible to disconnet the standard two wire plug from the ford unit and install a separate alarm switch instead? cheers in advance.

 

Has the plug been properly connected upto the new latch?

 

Hi mate its not a new latch. I didnt need to remove/ replace the lock i just needed to have the cable part of the lock pushed back on as it had come uncliped. I have undone the plug and gave it a clean but still no luck.
