most rewarding car you have ever driven
iam not on about out and out power or handling just the car that put the biggest smile on your face for one reason or another mine is a caterham with a rover vvc engine just felt amazing to drive
The Caterham R300 Superlight i used to own back in '06 - always put a smile on my face whenever i went out for a good run in it
Other than that the next one down would be my current 205 GTI - again another rewarding car to just hop into and go for an enjoyable run
I can't really say my Focus RS as i haven't driven it in near on 2 years

1960 Mini great little car, lots of young ladies given lessons in that car
, including the Mrs. My first modified Lotus was mega fast (or so i thought) had great fun in that one. Best alround car was probably my Audi Sport it did everything better than most. My Cossie is the biggest adrenaline rush you can imagine but is not easy to live with.

Fiesta Zetec S 2001. Was pretty much new, handled like it was on rails, had a great feel to the car, light and nimble with enough poke around town for some good fun.
It is a toss up between that and a E36 M3 Saloon I had. That was was so much fun, you could put it anywhere, the rear had so much control

My mk2 frs is awesome very rewarding down the back lanes round here when you get a clear run
Used to love my 205mi16 (did the engine swap way before most people even thought about doing the conversion!)
Used to love upsetting much "faster" car in that best one was upsetting a bloke in a new Audi tt

only had a few luke warm cars, cav sri, 309gti (great fun) and fto. never got the fto on the road as i bought it on a whim and really had no intrest in it. the sri was a Ł50 banger but at the time was great for wheel spins!! 309 felt like a monster in comparison. the best of all is my turbo escort and the first car ive spent lots of money and time on and still feel in love with it. on the outside it looks like a tired old bonus but its treated with much love and maintained cleaned religously. its not massively powerful but with the power its got its lovely to drive and is fun on twisty roads. i also like the odd thumbs up from others who know a cvh turbo when they hear one.
My old sunbeam lotus was a fabulous sounding car went quit well and handled so well, way better than me,added a diff a couple of k+n's was well away...so simple back then..
My mates big spec 3dr. Fully rebuilt from scratch. New suspension. Every bush including column. And set up properly. T4 mapped to 500 plus.
Wow, honestly drove like a new car. So tight through the corners and twistys. When foot down you'd get wheel spin but so controllable. The best Cossie I've ever driven.

I love my mates 560SEC Merc - 1989 on a 'G' plate, tight as a drum to drive and so comfortable. He bought it in 1993 with something like 8k miles on it, still only got about 40k on it today.
Lovely car, got a real soft spot for it. Not the best handling but ain't bad for big old barge, and not the fastest but definately one of THE nicest.

My old Toyota Levin BZ-R was my most rewarding drive. It was only a 1.6 but was so much fun, I felt part of it when driving, you could push it so hard. It had loads of lift of oversteer. Best drivers car i've owned by a mile and I had 2 M3's either side of owning it.
I'm 42 with 2 older kids so not everyday car to me and the seats are rubbish, great if you young and want 1 of the best thrills from a car, prob me getting old but I wouldn't have another I like my comfy Volvo lol mk2 focus rs for me when I can afford.
My old classic scooby. Nothing fancy about it it was just a standard MY 00. Just everything about it felt right, from the driving posistion to the way it drove.

I'm a motorway miles sort of driver.
So far I'm loving my fathers 320d! It's just as fast as his previous Volvo V50 T5, easier to drive and flat out it feels like you're just toying with it!
Not only that a run back and fore Reading at 70mph returned 76mpg!

MY Zetec S is fun as fuck to throw about. Grips surprisingly well, and soooo predictable!
People just dismiss them as an underpowered Fiesta, but they really do put a smile on your face.

best drivers car is the vx220 that i purchased about a month ago, you feel so intouch with the road and it is very well setup and balanced, fast enough for fun yet safe enough not to die ish
most rewarding is my 73 vw camper, dont matter what mood im in or where ive got to get to as soon as you get behind the wheel nothing matters its just relaxing and cool to drive

My mk4 golf r32 was just brilliant, the noise used to make me smile every time, it wasnt the fastest or the best handling car, but in my opinion it was a beautifully well rounded vehicle.
A close second was my Evo V, 197 Clio was third, S1 turbo 4th, Escos was a lowly 5th

My old zetec Fiesta Si used to take abuse... id call that rewarding for not breaking down on me
Everytime drove it , it got ragged , owned it for about 2yrs and it never even had a fuse or tyre replaced
My Ax Gt was pretty fun too...

I'm glad someone has mentioned these as I'm looking at one of these soon. Preferably with a Puma lump though.
The day I drove my mk1 escort home. It's my dream car, I worked hard, I saved up, and I bought one. It's not easy putting that kind of money together out of nothing and when I was driving it home with everybody looking at it down the high st I was the proudest guy in the world.

1700 Puma. Just such a great chassis out the box. Probably more fun to drive down the lanes then my 300+hp Corsa.
Ali what VX220 did you go for?
