Default Dying S2 :(

It starts from cold find but after around 10 seconds is gets lumpy then totaly dies unless you rev it, ive posted a cpl of times but its been pushed down, perhaps the right people wernt on to answer? Just a quick reply is all i ask Im sick to death of this problem, cheeRS. pete

Its the same problem im getting. But once my car has started it runs lumpy for a few seconds like you have mentioned and then it clears but once it starts to warm up the revs drop below 500 rpm. I think it just needs a good tune good luck

Sounds like the cold start valve or possibly the metering head

leaky warm up injector, auxillary air device, metering unit, mixture or a combination of all of them. unfortuantly the mfi set up needs lots of TLC to run at its best one small problem and it can cause hell.

have you got a cam in it, im guessing its standard set up

Totaly standard mate, ive tried unplugging the cold start injector and nothing ???

Mine does the xcact same thing. Its only for a few seconds, but totally fine after that. Im use to it no.

Ive almost given up with this problem (THIS CAR WILL BE THE CAUSE OF MY DEATH )Is it likely to be one of the sensors or something like that because ive vertualy changed everything?

This might be a silly question but what does this do and is it part of the dizzy cap? and how would it affect the idleing.

How old is your fuel filter?
Could be a fuel pressure issue.
