I do mate, we have the local rsoc meeting first tuesday night of the month at the Rookery Wood pub in Crewe, otherwise when and where were you thinking of mate? Sounds like a good idea to me cos there's fook all else going on round here lol

Was going to see who was interested and try to find a time/location that suites everyone.

Went to a local meet In stoke festival park where the drive through burger king is, it happens every Sunday from about 7.30 onwards was a good turn out meet some good people and going this week if anyone else is free?

Alrite lads, I drove past Burger King last night looked like a massive crowd. Never joined in. Is it worth a look next time?

Alrite cool, seemed ALOT of cars there last night, more than what use to be down Festival Park. Is there a good turnout with Fords do you know? Mines pretty basic Zetec S like nothing exciting.

 

Festival Park used to get rammed years and years ago before the speed humps and new houses by the cricket club was built,im talking 1997ish before the chavs ruined it,as for fords seen a few mk1 focus RSs,a mk2 focus RS,no cossies or RS Turbos though,couple of STs,Dont matter what car you have mate all bout love of the blue oval.

 

Used to go every week many years ago . . . to many idiots ruined it and the police put a stop to most of it. . .

I just normally stay away from these things because there's loads of chavved up corsa's and pug's cutting around driving stupid. Give these meets a bad name.

The Burger King meet is being shut down soon due to idiots ruining it. CHAVs are buying food from maccyd's and burger king and just dumping the rubbish in the car park despite bins being provided as well as mongs doing dohnuts and handbrake turns etc. Both burger king and office world have complained to the landlord and the police and as a result the landlord is fitting gates to shut off most the car park except access to the drive thru.

When it started a few months back it was just a few lads meeting up causing no trouble. However as usual, people cant be trusted and now its getting stopped.

 

Doesn't surprise me Warren, we went down on Sunday to meet up with a mate and it was absolutely rammed, so rather than risk some knob driving into us or risk being associated with them if the police came down we parked up by the casino for a natter, endless amounts of astra vxr's flying past at mach 10, such a shame the idiots have to spoil it for everyone.

 

Thats why a ford only meet would be better, there wouldn't be as many cars and less aggro

 

How about meeting somewhere like the Darlaston inn near stone? 2 for one meals or 2 for a tenner lol, wacky warehouse for anyone with kids etc? Think there's one or 2 other car clubs that meet there too.

its a decent run out to there john. i cant think of anywhere else in stoke tbh as most places have or are being shut off etc

isn't that the road with a speed camera every 20ft. they used to have one at the black horse in betley yrs ago, at least you could blow the cob webs out on the way there and back.

If it's not just for RS's I might pop down in the 220, used to spend a lot of time round festival park as well way back around 1996-1999 almost every weekend, had a look round just a few months ago on a Sunday night and it was like a ghost town lol, but if its for any blue ovals I might be in

 

is a week night any good for every one, if we can organise a day then its just a venue to find.

 

I'm up for this too obviously lol Darlaston is a good shout, nice big car park, 2 for 1 food and wacky warehouse for the kids? Or if it has to be in Stoke not the surrounding area I could ask the staffs vw lot which pub they go to, think it's somewhere near Meir if I remember correctly, or I know they used to go to the harvester on trentham lakes

 

I was gone suggest the harvester, or the new place that's opened at the end of Stanley Matthews way, by aldi?

 

The hem Heath is the pub it gets packed sometimes but car park is not that big unless you use the aldi car park which is right next to it

 

Yeah, that's the one, just a suggestion really, if anyone's got any other suggestions then lets hear them lol. Me and Steff are the only ones to suggest anywhere so far lol.

 

Id say Darleston as its away from houses,huge carpark and in central location for the area.Also as said a couple of clubs are using it for meets already and have been for some time.Whats the thinking on day?Id say Sunday evening as its always been car night in Stoke?

 

That's why i suggested the darlaston, nice and out of the way etc, big car park, food if anyone wants it etc. I'll be coming from crewe and the distance doesn't bother me lol. Sunday night is good for me
