Got to remove a mk2 mondeo gearbox and read that i will need alignment pins when re attaching the subframe. Anyone used these before to fit a subframe? What do they look like and where do they go please?

holes in the rear of subframe n/s and o/s, they locate in the chassis rails. Got some in my toolbox at work,

Says on here focus's too, I've had subframes off a focus without using them.

You could mark the subframe up with some tippex marks.

 

Hope the subframe bolts have been out before had a few over the years rip the captive nuts out

If they do you have to take the carpet up and cut back the grill in the bulkhead and put a spanner on them

 

You can get away with removing the pair on the gearbox side and just loosen the other two. That's what I did and the subframe aligned perfectly afterwards.
