It's now the second time i've dropped my car off to have the Alarm fitted to the Boot of Kim's RST. After the break in we decided to have the rear lock removed, filled in an sprayed.

This has been done and is great, the new alarm all works fine but when they try to connect the solinoid (sp?) the boot won't close. without the extra motor etc the catch shuts fine (the mk4 one which came with the car).

Just wondering how you lot done yours? I even bought a mk5 boot latch instead of the mk4 one but it doesn't fit

any ideas? work is getting pissed off with me keep taking time off to drop the car off.

and the alarm people had no problems fitting it? i think mine are a bunch of monkeys
