found a 92 J-plate 1.6 xr2i on autotrader.....

it's only £800 - what's the usual price for them?

what's to look out for other than the fuel filler?

 

thay rust all over m8 just make sure you give it a good look over

 

if you buy a good one ther a great little car mate watch for rust around the petrol filler cap!!

i worked with a guy in cornwall who had a mint h plate in white cost him 600 quid!!

the engine's done 82k.....what's the usual life of the engine? is it a cvh or a Zetec? how easy is it to fit a zetec if the engine's shot?

egine is as good as its looked after m8 2i sshud not tap much but look out for rust thats all i can say and it will be a cvh 115 bhp

I think 800 is a little over the odds for an early one, id try and get the seller down a couple of hundred.

 

what's the deal with downgrading?

i currently have a 2001 Focus ESP that i'm bored of and want rid of.....but it's on finance.....

I agree, IMO £800 is priced a little on the high side.

 

all depends on condition i bought a good condition 1for 800 quid two years ago done me well for two years stuck stage 2 engine in it and beat rs turbos!

should be a good 1 for 800 notes!!! there are to be fair a lot of shite ones out there tho
