My old man had a Pajero 2.8 TD auto LWB and that only managed mid-twenties. Brilliant Tonka toy, so well made.
There is an excellent club, called The Pajero Owners Club. Something like
http://www.pocuk.com/ .

Dad's just recently bought one.
Not as good on MPG as you would expect, but it's a good allround car though

they are crap on fuel, i had a 96p reg until 2002, it did around 19-20 mpg and the very best was around 26mpg being gentle with it on a long run.
then i test drove a proper4x4
a 4.2 landcruiser amazon, the shogun felt like a right dog after i,d driven that
i ordered a new landcruiser 2 days later.....

I was tempted with a Land Crusier but the interior in them is so cheap looking, like all Jap stuff IMHO

I looked at LOADS of 4x4s when i was looking for a family motor
My god tthe MPGs are lower than the M3 evo i had , They are grear cars if you do little miles then you can stomach the running costs
I have gone for the Audi A6 1.9tdi in saloon as i get 50mpg out of it and i do HUGGGEEE miles
