My dad bought a st24 as a bit of a project,While replacing the rear disc's and pads ect he has managed to damage the rear speed sensor which brought up the abs/tc light.

He sourced a new sensor for £45 off ebay,replaced it and still the lights are on,he's dissconected the battery for half hour to see if it would reset.

1.Does the abs/tc system have to be reset.

2.Any way to test the sensor, he has one of them elm 327 obd2 readers.

 

Has he driven the car few miles? Had that with a rover tomcat i had. After few miles went out

 

driven around the block and made no difference.

 

How bout spraying connector pins with wd40.
