Default Cellulose Paint advice needed asap

Im looking at spraying the ka on sat, and need a few questions answering.

Is the mix for the paint and thinners 70% - 30% ?

How long do you leave between colour coats and then how long before applying the lacquer?

Does anyone how much hardener you mix with the lacquer?

Finally, how long do you have to leave the lacquer before applying a second coat?

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers dan

TBH mate you would be better off not using cellulose its not as good as it was years ago as they have taken out much of the lead contents etc out.but 70 - 30 will be fine if you have made up your mind and use topcoat thinners and NOT standard. as for times between applying coats it will totally depend on the enviroment you are spraying. are you doing it in a proper booth with a oven to bake when painted???

from past experience 2 pack paint is better all round for that real good finish good luck send some pics

I cant use 2 pack due to the fumes it gives off, im spraying in my grandparents garage and they are very fusy with smells, it was difficult enough getting them to let me to use cellulose. I was told not to use waterbased as its really difficult to apply without getting runs everywhere!

What do you mean using topcoat thinners and NOT standard??

The bloke i got the paint from has worked in a paint place for years supplying all the proffessional bodywork places. He supplied me with the right amount of each and compatiable stuff, but is not 100% sure on the right mixes, hence why i posted on here.

Does anyone know how much hardener i need to use with the lacquer??

Want to spray it all tomorrow!!

cheers dan
