Default how laid back are ya parents when ya lived at home ????

reason i ask is theres a guy i know who lives at home with his mum and asked if he could install a pit in the garage to work on his car and she agreed and he now has a 6 foot deep hole about 2 foot wide from 1 end of the garage to the next , shes totally cool with it and was making him and his mates tea and bringing beers whilsy theyu was digging out her home

my mum got the hump when i sprayed me door handles in trhe bathroom and was gonna chuck me out for that and my missus said no to rebuilding the cossies engine in the kitchen too

anyone else got it soo fooking good

im not complaining as im gonna park me cossie in there and take out the box and engine there

cant belive someone would let there 19 year old son do that to her 400k house

My parents were pretty cool when I lived at home. Got away with loads to be honest. Haven't lived there for 8 years now and their garage is still full of old car and bikes bits that I haven't got round to getting rid of.

Spend MUCH more time at my mum and dads than anywhere else. I haven't slept in my own house for 2 weeks mum and dad are soooo laid back and cool and I just prefer it there... get cooked food and waited on hand and foot My cleaner has the worlds easiest job! nothing gets dirty!

My mum is legendary for being an angel and doing everything for me My car needs servicing on saturday and I can't be arsed so she will sort all that for me... been dealing with my solicters on a remorgage the last two days, waited at my house for 4 hours for a new bed to be delivered on tuesday, sent back 2 things I double ordered from amazon... These are just the little things I can remember this WEEK alone. She is worlds best mummy

my mum would do anything for me, and my dad is the total opposite, we used to row all the time, til he chucked me out, live at my mums now and its all good. me and dad get on really well.

i got a shed full of car bits and a mini moto at my dads and my car is outside my mums as we speak

i think Vix should be allowed to live at your house Lee while you aren't using it

just to make sure the place is alright of course

When i used to live in my mum and dads old house, i took over near enough the whole double garage and the rear driveway, did 6 engine swaps on different cars from the age of 16, had a S1 that i used to work on after college to the late hours of the night. Then used to start the fooker and take it for a spin. In all that i got oil all over my dads brick paved driveway . My mum used to make me and my mates drinks all year round, came out in the freasing cold with a thermos flask of tea

It was great when i lived there (Thats whay im going back with em for a couple of years) only to get some money together to get a place of my own mind

I can't do fook all carwise at me parents. Pretty painful cos my dad fills everywhere up with junk, even built himself a huge workshop on the back of the garage which he doesn't use. I have to rent garages to do any car stuff.

My mates on the other hand, one has about 12 cars, all bangers which he's crammed into his parents drive, plus full use of their double garage and his own shed. Another mate has his GF's mum running around after him, he's got free reign of an entire barn and gets bought new tools every weekend.

my rent split when i was 15 but it had been coming for a while.
mams cool about my ford fasination and wasnt arsed about me have 2 xr2's outside the house for weeks. its the other shit that she gives me that makes me want to move out only problem is i cant afford it at the minute, she knows this aswell which is a bugger.
dad is a legend. he never wanted me to be a mechanic when i grew up so he used to tell me fook all about cars. now i just piss him off untill he shows me so he dont have to do it, but he is always there.

i think i would get on better with my mother if i moved out to be honest but im stuck till i pay my loan off

They get on my case at having the phoneline blocked constantly - but have said if i wana put a comp in my room they will have another phoneline instaled

The garage is full of all my crap - i never do any washing cleaning cooking etc........Living with the parents cudnt beat it

My parents split up when I was about 5 years old I think. moved out of the house with my mom. never really got along, she always made me feel bad because she said she got divorce because it would be better for me. sucked growing up with a mom that always cried when I had done something wrong and made me feel shit about it.
I have moved around 3 times with her, each time removing me from my friends. 3 years ago when I joined the army I asked if I could keep my stuff with my mom and her new husband, because I would be living at the base, but then one month out of the blue, she just told me to be out of the house within 1 month. Don't like my mom and dont like visiting her so I dont unless I have to

My dad on the other hand has always been cool, and we have always gotten along great and over the last 2 years it has just gotten better and better
He loves cars aswell

Its cool wont be going straight away, its a rented house, you wouldnt expect me to live in rented housing all my life. It starting to get close where my GF will be finnishing her teaching course and getting a job, so best start saving for some place of my own and while in paying out rent money that wont be possible. Thus i will be going back to my pearents new house for a few yrs to get a few G's up for a deposit.

Wouldn't change my Parents for the world, had quite a strict childhood but if it had been any other way then I wouldn't be the person I am today.

I never used to get on with my Dad, too similar each with very short fuses, couldnt be in the same room for longer than 5 minutes together, but when I moved out the first thing I noticed was how well I got on with my Dad.

Things have happened in my life where my Parents have really come through for me, even without expecting them to, never really appreciated them as a rebelious Teenager, but sure as hell do now

Any ideas what I can get my Mum for Mothers Day tho

My parents are very cool with it all

Even though I don't live at home I have 3 garages full of car stuff at their house! (2 cars and enough spares for a third )

My old man gets a bit annoyed as you can hardly get to the boiler or electric trips though
