Default Fiesta mk2 2ltr turbo

Hi I'm new to this forum so hello every one. I've just bought a fiesta mk2 popular, it was an eBay special and I won it for good money now the thing is its been fitted with a 2ltr zetec which has been turbo'd. I have no receipts for work been done at all but having a quick look it says eagle rods on back window and JE pistons and previous owner said it has this in the engine but who knows. I can see adaptors plates that look like they've been bought for the rover inlet and what looks like a RS turbo manifold, turbo says T3/t4 what ever that means, I'm not clued up on these turbo engines, has a megasquirt ecu fitted and boost gauge says running at 1 bar previous owner said this is lowest it can run? All I know is that when you drive this thing the torque steer is crazy, it's all over the road, turbo seems pretty laggy, previous owner recons it's running 300bhp and to be honest I don't dis believe him. No sign of thick decompression head gasket or anything like that so must of been done properly. When up on ramp and front end jacked up if you spin one wheel the other turns does this mean it's been fitted with some sort of LSD/ fancy diff? Has swirl pot in boot and battery, mint Rs turbo interior, I'll try to get some pictures uploaded.

My plans are to maybe change the turbo for a smaller unit, to sort the lag out? I need to change the suspension for something stiffer ( has been lowered already on springs? I think it has xr2i front suspension legs) front brakes need upgrading also. Money isn't to much of an issue as I intend to sort it out from now till next spring so buy parts as and when needed. Any help would be much appreciated and sorry for my lack of mechanical experience all part of learning I suppose. Thanks

open a www.photobucket.com account, it's free then upload the pics
then hover over the pic and a drop down menu appears, copy the last option and paste on your post
