Not got my boot de-locked however, i persume you would use a solenoid operated from you alarm or a switch/button inside the vehicle (similar setup to the Mk3 Fiesta) to pop the boot open

The Fiesta XR2i Tailgate popper is what I use. They are slim, powerful, and quite easy to connect up to. Plus you connect the earth, and just use its other as a trigger wire.

The Orion one matches the Door slave units, and you can use for locking function.
