RSOC website lists it as Ford Racing Blue...... NOT Imperial blue
www.rsownersclub.co.uk
click on "cars" at top of page and then "Focus"

But essentially are we all agreed that they are all just different shades of `Imperial Blue` that have been given names to suit the `sporty` car they are applied on?

Focus RS was available in ONE blue.....no matter which shade it ended up with.
Series ones were available in one Diamond white colour...but there are many shades of it.

There is only one paint code for Imperial blue, but lots of different shades. Surely the paint code should rest this arguement!

Its not imperial blue as has already been pointed out.
Racing blue is not a verient of imperial at all - it's a different colour.
In some cases the code won't always help either as i was searching for moondust silver the other day and it found both moondust and stardust (which are different) and even some others that weren't silver.
Suppose this depends on what system is used - but on our system at work ford codes can be a pain sometimes.

Make sure you get it from ford, not halfords!! Imperial Blue from Ford and Imperial Blue from Halfords are different shades., same with diamond white!

I never commented on what colour the FRS is.
I just pointed out that there is more than one shade of Imperial Blue
