Sierra Sapphire cosworth replica restoration/project
Been on here a while to I thought I might aswel make a build thread on my cosworth replica
Here's my first one that I regrettably sold for a golf

So I thought another one was needed but this time going all out no expense spared
Here's how she started

Good luck but this brings back painful memory's of my first Sapphire 
2.0 ghia SAME colour !!.Removed FORD RS kit nothing underneath.Four new doors,sills,bootlid,new arches and 4b bonnet later !.Colour change to Mallard green and new heated screen,all new bushes, adjustable suspension,new brakes,New stainless,new wheels and a complete interiour change (yes everything was brown
) to grey recaro cloth.Out with all that in with raven leather and all pastics etc.Then the lacquer lifted and it looked like it had sunburn
and to top it off whilst in was in a garage some bloke was noseying around it and said "oh its manual now is it!" apparently he bought the car at three years old and it was auto and had a front end on it,joined on a pillars.
Whilst all this was going on more shopping 2.1 on fresh rebore,new pistons,crank,oil pump stage four head and a set of 45's with manifold.
Took about 18 months to build,run it for three months blew it up in temper after an argument.Stripped back to standard,mot'd it and sold it for Ł200
Bought a tiger striped rear ended 3dr for Ł120 with 2.1 pinto and cosworth kit swapped that for another Sapphire H plate what the guy had just bought for Ł2.5k and planned to start again.
End result . . . I give it away
oh and whilst I had the H plate I bought Cosworth everything in white for a sapphire I was having and that got stolen and crashed.
Fast forward 15 years 3 years in a 2wd Cosworth,much better.
Phew,I hope you fare better than i did lol.God knows how much i wasted.

Mate your not far from me,I have three sapp cosworth doors here with the mouldings and non chrome window rubbers on probs motors in the and glass(i think) and one front cosworth skirt mount,the plastic thing that goes on the wing.If you want you can have.Oh and some black plastics kick panels sill covers etc.Free for collection to you
Hubs arrived yesterday so I decided to do my best to make all my new running gear as nice as I can
