The event previously known as 'Dads Day Out' is back for it's 4th and probably best year yet. Though there are many changes including the fact it's no longer DDO, from now on it will be known as 'The SuperCar Event'

As of this year it becomes a two day show with the dates for 2012 being June 23rd & 24th (just 2 weeks time)at the same place it's always been, the Top Gear Track at Dunsfold, Surrey (GU6 8TB)

We have had a general Ford display stand at this event the last three years and we'd love to see some of you lot from Passionford attend and join the stand this year with your Ford's


As those that display their cars on the stand add to the attraction we get preferential treatment and cheaper tickets, though it's always been cheap to get in anyway but this year a stand ticket will cost you £10 and that will admit the car the driver and all the passengers.................... For both days !!................... Bargain

For those that have not heard about this before the unique selling point of this show is that it's much more interactive than your usual static 'have a look round' type of show........ The main draw is that there are Supercars giving pay for a ride charity laps on a the Top Gear track........... Though not the usual figure of 8 circuit they use on the show for obvious reasons !!!

There is also a Caterham drifting experience and an Autosolo for you to run your own car as well as tons of the usual family stuff like funfair etc and live music and a plentiful supply of good food to keep you going all weekend

Aswell as the SuperCar rides on the track there will also be other cars giving 20 minute passenger rides on a road circuit outside the Airfield.......... i'm booked in to participate in this myself so if anyone would like a Run out in a 500 BHP Escort Cosworth then come and find me

The Charity that will benefit from all this will be The Childrens Trust so rest assured it's a good and well deserving one.................... £63k was raised in 2010 and £100k in 2011 so the sky is the limit this year !!

As said, there is a specific link for those helping out by being on display but you can also pre-book passenger rides in the Supercars to avoid queueing on the day........ a ride in a Supercar will make an excellent belated Fathers Day gift

Forgot to mention, if using sat-nav to get to the Top Gear track then don't use the Dunsfold postcode........ use 'Stovolds Hill, Cranleigh' from there it will be obvious where you're going
