anybody else noticed the mk1 rs focus on r plates at causeway coast show? saw him driving threw portstewart after it , thought it was a replica till ill saw brembos and heard dump valve . how? why ? i couldn't insure a nova on r plates never mind that ffs..

 

Some people's parents can afford the insurance costs or have trade policy. My mate drove a land rover defender for 3 months after he past his test and then got a mk1 rs.
There used to be green mk2 rs about omagh on r plates untill the morron lost his licencee for drink driving or something.

 

R plates? Are they an equivalent of L plates?

 

no you get them after you pass your driving test , have to put them up on window of car for 1st years driving
