That is very cheap indeed. It doesn't look too bad and with 90k its got to be worth triple that witha bit of love thrown at the engine

 

I phoned him not long after the ad went up. Needs a lot more than just engine work, the fella ain't no mug lol! Still cheap though and would be on the way now if it wasn't over 3 hours away

Hello chaps, I bought this car at the end of last year. Its pretty solid throughout.
Managed to get it started after oil change and new battery and fuel pump and believe it or not it runs....a little ruff but still !
I left it laid up for the winter and come easter I started stripping it back bolt by bolt too see exactly what needs doing. The engine came out this weekend and will be in for a rebuild.
I done some research and authenticated the mileage and found it had been off the road since 1998 and kept stored pretty well.
I will add some pictures soon if anyone is interested, and I aim (hope) too have it back on the road by next easter

 

Anyone with a half decent 16i knows what it's worth , for this price all your going to get Is one big sack of sh*t

 

Fair comment Jamie.... It was rough but sound for the money.
Its totally reconditionable with a bit of time spent, and at least there will be another one on the road.
