Depending on your location I'd use Trevor at Wepaint, hes in Sussex though. Plently of good painters out there just don't listen to internet hype like I did!

Where abouts in the north east mate?
I've just had my cosworth shell painted by a lad in hebburn and I think he's done a good job.
There's also a lad in the boro area called gaz who painted beefys escort and several other cars on this forum, and from the pics they look like good jobs.

Gonna bear this in mind, whenever I've had work needing doing before I've used Coven Body Repairs, they are good but they do seem a bit expensive perhaps!

But when gaz does one bad job (he will because everyone does) is he gonna get slated like jacko? And all his good jobs forgot about lol as that's all that happened to jacko, one poor job on Martins car and he's ruined.

Depends if he comes up with every excuse known to man about why the job was bad and doesnt put it right - just like Jacko did.

If he puts it right then no need for Gaz to be ruined imo

Its about how you deal with mistakes that matters & im sure gaz would put it right or not give it back untill it was right ! it wasnt just one mistake jacko made a few that surfaced at the time that passionford know of ! but at the min gaz is the man for the painting

To OP, if you want local, I had a new wing fitted to the BMW, primed, painted, bootlid, front and rear bumpers done all for £600. His name is Peter and he uses JSL Vehicle Repairs place in Middlesbrough near Jennings Ford.

His work was superb and he was recommended by the BMW specialist over in Stockton.

PM me if you want his details.

Pics of work done.

Rear, bootlid had rust removed, badges gone and key lock removed. Bumper resprayed also.

New wing fitted and painted.

Front bumper and new wing. I was really worred about the paint match as silver can be a pig, but I couldn't spot the lines and my mate whos had a nightmare with silver cars couldn't either

Cheers

Matt
