Could any one help me out by telling me which Escorts/fiestas has ford pats? And if they were internal/external...

And does any one know how both PATS systems work? I've read the google descriptions but would like to know physically how they stop the car from functioning, like does it intercept cps signal/ignition signals etc.

From about 93 / 94 ish, I'd say, can't really remember 100% though...

PATS was introduced on mk3 Fiesta/Escort 91>/Mondeo/Scorpio/Transit etc.

Early stuff had external PATS modules but were later integrated into PCM.

Hard to give a definitive list tbh!

Thats what I've been finding regard to a definitive list. Do you know how both systems operate... ie) how thay actually stop a car from starting. I'm trying to find out how much of a pain PATS is going to be with aftermarket management.
