Hi, newbie here,
I've just bought a 92 xr2i 1800 that turned out to have an oil leak and ran dry on the A55 leaving me stranded in a layby for 4 hours....
Its done engine damage (can't tell you what, not mechanically minded at all, just love the cars) but the AA man (previous Ford mechanic) said it needs an engine rebuild/reconditioned which I'm prepared to do. Ideally I'd like to keep the engine I've got.

Can anyone help with where to go? I'm in Bangor but I've never found a garage to settle with out here and my local Ford garage wanted to refer me out to Chester...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

you'll be better off buying another 1800 zetec engine, it'll be cheaper than
a rebuild.
