Hi, don't know if this is right place to post but we had a transit van come in today for work on the rear shutter. One of the lads disconnected the battery and did the welding. When re connected the battery and tried the key it won't start at all. Anyone got any ideas? We tried a spare key incase it's coding lost but still nothing. Thanks
We were welding the shutter on the back of the van, not the van itself. Thanks for the replies, i will let you know what it was after fords send a huge bill
I'm not sure mate, I didn't do it, the lad who did it said he did what he does on everyone that comes in and it's never happened before. Apparently the AA guy was pretty certain it was the immobiliser, should find out today.
if it has a vistion ecu most have they dont like voltage problems ecu very weak as said there is 2 batteries under seat ,does pats light work ?,jump start with flat battery is a no no on these the ecu gives up ,replaced 2 ecu,s on citroen relay that use the same shit engine and ecu 1k for ecu.
Alright guys, turned out it was a loose wire under the battery, you'd of thought the auto electrician or AA guy would of spotted that. Even our lads! Anyway ford found it and sorted it and didn't charge!!!
