how can you go with lining the arches with the bumpers? or are there aftermarket arches???

 

Think people trim them level with the bumpers they look cool az on mk4s I wanted to put em on mine but couldn't get hold of a kit before it went for paint

 

problem is, they would still stick out from the bumper, because theyre ticker if you know what i mean. thought maybe there is an imitation kit

 

Not that I no of mate. They don't stick out too much imho

 

They stick out and even trimmed really well just dont look quite right when it meets the bumper imo
the SI kit i bought for mine came with SII bumpers
they got part of the arch moulded onto the bumpers different and looks awsome
hope that makes sence
but unfourtanly never got around to fitting um
gotta love long term projects

As above only worth doinf if you can mould the arch onto the front and rear bumpers. I did this years ago and it looks bloody good. it transformed the rear bumper too!

 

i don't know about mouling the arches but i thought they looked o.k on my old one

I've had genuine S1 arches hibernating in the garage for a few years now, it's on the to do list.

You need to a spacer behind the bumper, where is screws to the wing, to push it out a bit to get it to line up with the arch or you can fit saph cossie front splitter which looks good

 

Just noticed that picture, either the arch hasnt been fitted correctly or the bumper is not sitting right
