What oil should I use in my gripper rear diff? And also does anyone know the optimum oil temp so I can work out what temp switch I need to control the rear diff cooler

Was looking at 87degrees c to turn cooler pump on and 72 degrees c to turn pump off

I use the Morris 80w/140 direct from gripper as they have tested loads of different makes/viscosity and found this stuff to be the best.
They also stock it

Slightly off topic but where have folk found the cheapest supplier of 7.5" gripper?

 

Got mine direct from Tom Seal when he was at Coventry Automotive (I think it was) but believe he has moved since.

 

I got mine from gripper in coventry for 700 pounds

 

Tom seal works out of Dave mac prop shafts now.
