I need to change the panel at the back of the engine bay which sits in front of the fuse box and behind the battery. As far as i can make out the only cables going through it are the spedo cable and the washer tubes. Is it easy enough to do and has anydone done it before. Any help appreciated.

Yep, not a problem at all - took mine off to get it powdercoated
Unclip all the cables etc and remove the screws that hold it in, the panel is split where the speedo goes through, so just prise the split apart and lift the cable out (no need to disconnect the speedo cable)

 

I had a look last night but may be a bit more of a pain than I first thought. I don't think its split at the speedo cable plus I think I will need to remove the wiper motor to get at the cables for it.

 

I'll try and look again at mine later to remind myself...
It really wasn't much hassle, mine's 4x4 if it makes any difference?
