£7000, imo put std brakes and std alloys on her and you'd make another £500 (std brakes and £900 for the APs, Std wheels and £600 for the MOs if they are mint with decent tyres) and sell the car for £6000 + £1500...
i really wouldn't think it would be viable. i mean for me more than anyone to be honest, forged zetec turbo with area six head/cams/vsprings, tubular manifold, etc.
as much as i'd love a FRS, money would have to come my way for one as there is a ridiculous amount of cash (even broken) in the xr2.
but if you want one of the fastest mk2 fiesta's in the country.....

They all suffer from worn wheels from what I've read?lovely car but as stated get it back to standardish and sell the bits separate, you get more then.
I never used to do it but the last few cars I've had I've kept any goodies that came with them and passed them on seperately.
I wouldnt even mention to a prospective buyer you have the bits as they use that as a bargaining point and they end up going for jack shit.
Think logically too regarding a diesel, yes more mpg but fuel is more costly and a lot of modern dervs have pump/injector issues which can cost in the region of £1500 to sort so be careful it doesn't turn out to be good on one hand and bad on t'other.
Shit time too sell also, maybe worth waiting a month or so?
