ok im 28, never made a claim on my insurance, but not got any no claims bonus due to working away and cancelling my policy early. Been ringing round for quotes on a ford puma and the best ive had so far is £1300 a year. Insurance companies telling me prices have gone up up to 40% this year?

what the fuck?

You tried ta comparison site? Have you got any bans or points on your licence, is it a standard car?
If i were you i'd look up a matrix on line tyhat tells you the insurance group of each car and pick the lowest and best one, no idea about Pumas or what group they're classed as.

Pumas generally arnt too bad, no ive not got any claims or convictions, tried comparison sites and the best quote was £1300. its an insult, my old 1.6 escort used to cost me £380 a year. Ive even said im only going to do 4000 miles a year

Theyve been saying insurance has gone up 40% every year for the last 4 years. Cant believe the claims have gone up that much in such a short period.

its becuaseof you no claims i think tthats causing the issue, becuase they also ask about ended policies earlier so maybe that has something to do with it as they can check up on your old records i think

proberbly worth just keeping the insurance going to get the no claims, as they always charge a stupid fee to end policy early anyhow

you're screwed if you havent got any no claims, this year i had to insure a car otherwise i'd lose my 11 years NCB.

but as said, you need to shop around
