Ford 2.3 Mustang Race car
Looking for info on a cosworth 2.3 dual overhead cam 16v.
my race car is 2012 ford mustang just finished powder coating frame and getting to race it this year. i'm trying to do some different things with this car i know alot about ford 2.3 but nothing about the cosworth 2.3.
we can not run turbos or fuel injection i have 4 mikuni carbs and a esslinger SVO racing head. puts out about 325hp the car weigh 2100lbs
If you have any ideas about the cosworth or gaining any competive advantage it would be greatly welcomed
Thanks ahead of time.

You can put the Volvo B234 16 valve cylinder head on your 2.3 lima block - it flows very well, somewhere between a well-ported iron head and an ARCA head, and the powerband is phenomenal. Myself and a few others have running examples. There's a Yahoo group called "2300-16V" that's dedicated to discussion of this head swap, and some discussion of the swap often occurs on turboford.net.
When you say "2012 Mustang" you're talking about a tube-frame racecar chassis that you're campaigning this year, and not a 2012 model year Ford, right?
