The parts that are fucked are difficult bits to get hold of front bumper I you can find one Ł400 rear quarter Ł1k front wing Ł500, then there's the engine undertray which are like hens teeth! Ł500 if you can find one. So your talking in the region of Ł3k of parts without labour and paint.

 

Ł500 for an undertray ?? really???

 

You can get new rear quarters on ebay for Ł250.but looks like it will repair.you could get a fiberglass front bumper if you wanted to keep the cost down and me sure if you try you could find a wing under 200.

What's so special about the frs undertray? Isn't otherwise the same as a tdci one?

not sure about the undertray, the RS has them bits that hang down off it.
but i seen loads of them without undertrays on them anyway.

but as for the 1/4panels, yes they can be big bucks. as are the lower arms if they happen to of been damaged.

 

Frs undertray is like a lot of the bits on them that are Rs specific they are silly expensive to repair and if you can find a good wing/qtr for that money I'd buy it as all the parts are no longer available from ford or NCC who bought all the remaining Rs specific stock from ford.

 

Pee vee that's what cause the frs front bumpers too crack and become warped that undertray is what makes the lower part rigid without that they flap about

 

ive read on a couple of places that 70% (IIRC) of parts on the mk1 FRS are RS specific parts.

so thats probably why they are so much to repair lol

quaters are cheap as chips i have 4 new ones in my garage on ebay for 250 ,i have a contact big jeff off here chorley street garage that is always breaking focus rs's ,but that quater would repair ,i payed 150 quid for both my last to bumpers wings i payed 200 quid a side with slite rust on .

 

that rear quater will repair , try to get a none patter front wing , door too . dont forget the front tyre and u can go look at these cars mate we buy alot of them at work and trust me the price will jump alot .

wft you can get the body parts made from carbon fibre for less than Ł700 for the front and rear achs and you can pick up a second hand front bumper in good nick for less than Ł150 (door and bonnet will cost less than Ł50 as there std focus parts)


then you got to look at the parts behide the bumper rads pas pipe ect and then turbo down pipe and damage to the turbo its self these will be the most costly new.

 

that quarter will repair easily as will door, front wing will need replacing and bumper/ undertray obvs but i would be worried about the lean on the passenger wing as the chassis legs and inner wings on focus's bend in a light breeze lol, nearly every one i have ever repaired even with very light damage have had a bent leg on them, if it goes cheap enough it might be worth breaking tho
