Finding a good set is like hens teeth. Shabby one's with rusty lights sell for well over £100. I managed to find a brand new set about 18 months ago, after searching high and low for over 6 months, and I got them for £250, which was cheap, as I seen a mint second hand pair sell not long ago, for more than that. A lot of them these days don't have proper lenses in them, they have cheap halfords shite lenses

I heard a rumour of that, you couldn't when I was looking, because I tried, hence why it took me over 6 months to track down a brand new set. They had stickers on the brackets back in the day of when they were built, mine said October 1998, and I got them in 2010, so they had been sat on a shelf somewhere for 12 years

Morettes are the best mod you can make to a MK2 mate, nothing will make as much difference to the looks as Morettes. I wouldn't have a MK2 without them

They're h2, but you can wire the main beam to the outer bulbs to have main beam on them as well.

You can put new ones in it. So it doesn't really matter if the insides are rusty. Unless they are asking way to much.

I changed mine and changed the outer glasses for clear ones.

I did it on my 200 estate when I removed the inner lens and replaced them with cold air intakes.
