Are escort mk4 roof linings different from 80 to 90 spec?

Are escort mk4 roof linings different from 80 to 90 spec?
Just a quick question as i have a 1988 XR3I with 90 spec interior but ive been told 80 spec roof lining is dark and 90 spec is light.....

this car is confusing me as it has 90 spec roof lining as well...

Indeed I'm putting the 88 spec in mine as I prefer it to the 90 spec it had in it.

Only the early ones with the red stripe interior had the dark head liner. d to early f reg i think.

lots of cars had mix and match of bits around the changeover dates so im not surprised to see a car with a bit of 88 and a bit of 90
