R5 GYA Iv messed about with it on paint to show how it will ook with a screw on the return of the G

 

any1 know if i can shorten a legal plate legally?

 

The regulations regarding plates is only concerned with having the correct size border around the characters, as long as the border is there the plate remains legal. There is no set size the plate needs to be. Altering characters to look like another is however illegal.

Yes. I think it's 11mm you need between letters and edge of the plate all round.

luckily i got the plate i wanted and dont have to mess about with screws here and there... you only get a couple of chances with the plate if you get caught and the DVLA will take it off you...

if you like it .... thats all that matters

 

The problem also is, you'll be pulled all the time and as said above, can lead to the plate being removed!

 

im not completly making it into a C just putting a screw at the end of the G to make look a little closer to a C i undertsand it dosnt say cya but r5 cya is not available and isnt registered, so its the next best thing.

i dont go to work to get hard earnt wages to buy a nice plate for a focus rs iv got over 8k in to be called a cheap skate cunt.
