Default Any one help Underside restoration

My Cossie has been stood for almost a year & although inside its got surface rust underneath. Is there a company out there that can tart this up a bit. Dont need a full resto as its not bad but is annoying.
I would normally do this myself but not sure i will be able to do it any time soon.

Cheers Rod

I dont really. For paint i use a company in Reading, this is just a tart up underside. Remember a company on here that did just what i want but it was years ago. Ive always done this sort of thing myself but im struggling with my arm & it may not improve much more im told so arms in air aint going to happen .

It can turn in to a mammoth job as i've just started mine thinking it was just a quick clean but once you start digging you find other area's that may as well be done whilst your under there making the job a lot bigger than originally thought.

I've seen work done by COSSIECRAZY the escort Cosworth registrar - he's up in Stoke on trent though but his work seems good, i've seen a few car done by him

it can turn into a very big job as said, as really do it properly everything from underneath has to be taken out

all depends on how far you want to go with it

If i've read this right and looking at what Rods car is built for i would presume he is after a clean but not concours finish cleaning up the surface rust area's and making sure it's fully solid then choosing either underseal or paint

I've gone for schultz underseal as the car is black and the floor is clean and straight so the finish from the gun will be nice enough and everything else powdercoated satin black - not proper concours but preserved for the future

the thing is rod if you did it you wouldnt need a ramp

thing is beams and shafts etc will rust becuase they are what takes thehit from stones etc more than the floor does

but if everythigng is done correct then it should last longer than a year but it all depends if its driven in all weathers, if it is then winter time it needs cleaning a lot more regular

maybe a coat of something like wd40 to help protect it from water etc, so once its washed spray on yes it will get dirty but at least you know with a simple wash it will stillcome up like new again

its worth just doing it fully once and doing it rite as id imagine you know, then its just down to general maintenance and a clean ad keeping ontop of it, as if its not kept it will just go back to how it was
