Default Help on buying an ST

Hello all, I currently own a Ford Fiesta mk6 for the past 3 1/2 years and have got all I want from the car and need an upgrade badly!
I'm 21 years old and looking to buy a Focus ST, I don't know what model to get so looking to see the differences between all of the models.
If you're around the same age group what do you pay for insurance also? I have 2 years NCB and a clean licence

Also, anybody know trusted places at good prices to purchase?

Kind Regards,
Nick

Don't know if this is in te members area so you might not be able to see it but has all the details of specs and optional extras.

Last year I was payin nearly Ł900 with 9 years no claims and 3 points at 29 years old.
Just throw some quotes through comparison sites and see what comes up. Saying that I was doing the same and gettin quotes over 2k

I can see that fine fella, appreciate it!

Also the cheapest I have gotten when messing around to see what I'd get quoted is 1800 from Admiral which isn't too shabby for this type of car, would prefer cheaper though like everyone I suppose :P

You are far better off ringing around tbh. Comparison sites are fairly crap

An ST-3 is slightly more expensive to insure than a ST-2 on some occasions - no idea why. The ST-3 is a 4 seater rather than 5 so not sure if that is why?

I bought my ST when I turned 21 - treat for me coming out of my apprenticeship.

Personally I prefer the ST-2 over the ST-3 as I prefer the cloth seats.

Interiors on the 07 onwards cars on better on the pre facelifts - nicer centre console shape and come with black headlights and red illumination inside instead of the horrid green.

The ST-3 comes with footwell lights but these are also present on the ST-2 - just without the bulbs fitted. Pair of 501 bulbs and push them into the holders and job done

You don't like the recaro leather seats?
I'd have to get an upclose look at the interior to comment, I don't like the green lights either

Personally - not massively keen on the leather and think cloth is comfier

Only leather I like is Andrew Muirhead and thats what I would get if I want leather seats

So he shouldn't buy one as its not worth much after? That's why you mean?

If you want resale value don't buy a car, simple.

ST's have suffered loads due to fuel and tax at a guess but if you getting scrap value for yours then I guess it's scrap.

Mines an '07 ST-3 with black headlights but has a green ilumination, square stereo & no bulbs in the footwell lights until I put some red LED bulbs in.
