Default Sierra Cosworth gearbox?

I have a little problem finding gearbox for my Cossie here in iceland, so i was going to ask if some genius here know if i can use a T5 gearbox from V6 Camaro '93model for my sierra 2wd without any trouble.

It will probably phyically bolt up with the Cossie bell housing but you might find it has different gear ratios probably taller ones if it from a V8.
Have you got the box part number?

Edited to say it might have a different input shaft too you'll need to check the splines.

So this camaro box may have diffrent splines on the input shaft but does anyone know if the input shaft is longer or shorter in the camaro box?.. if its the same length i may be able to mix the clutch a little, use clutch for camaro and clutch pressure plate from ford

I actually think the ratios will be close, if not the same!

Remember the box in the Cosworth derived from a Mustang (V8 powered of course), I think the only difference is fifth gear was added so a bit like 'overdrive' in essence?
