Where to get a 3dr front control arm?
Harvey just called.
Most of my mapping work is done but the car needs a new front track control arm. He says they are hard to come by.
This holds up the collection of the car.
So are they not available new?

The motor factor ones have a 7mm smaller ball joint than gen ford tcas and listed as 4i so Harvey prob means gen ford ones are hard to get.
I'm not sure but there must be company's that refurb them so don't throw the old ones away.

Obviously the sooner the better but dont imagine I'll find one in the next hr or so to get it posted for tomorrow

Ok I seem to have this covered.
Paul can source an arm tomorrow from a friend. But Mr Hadland may supply both for ease.
It's good to know you can ring around and have these guys to hand that are willing and able to help

Not 4i, listed as cosworth on my system. Looked them up this afternoon. There was stock in QH.

I checked with my mate in the BOD to see if he had any but he recently sold his new unused pair. There is a mk1 xr4x4 being broken on here. Does it not have the same rear clusters?

Lee Robertson, he is a guy I used to go to school with. He didn't own a cossie, but had a few parts from when he owned a couple of xr4i. Very nice they were too.

I'm trying my damn hardest.
Got a loan of some wheel nuts sorted thanks to Rog.
I can borrow a light lens tonight if I cant buy the spares that I'm trying to get.
Harvey is checking on delivery of the pattern parts and I'm just going to change both sides.
I've stressed myself out today

As per messages above the pattern parts seem to be slightly different. But yes I'm doing that and replacing both sides
