Default Porsche Cayenne flat battery - how to charge?

Hi Guys

The battery is fully dead on my brothers Cayenne turbo as hes been away for months.

Now the bonnet pop is electric so cant pop that to get to bay terminals.

The battery is under the drivers seat, which is electric, so cant slide it back to get to it.

and theres a big undertray under the engine so cant get crocodile clips of trickle charger on the alternator terminals either.

Anyone got any suggestions of how i can charge the bloody thing!

Cigarette plug style chargers wont work as modern cars dont have power going to it when ignition is off.

Cheers

There will be a manual bonnet release somewhere on the Cayenne. It's under the wing behind the wheel arm liner on a Boxster so guess it will be similar on the cayenne. My Turbo had a manual pull in the drivers footwell too??

Appears from this thread there is an emergency release behind wheel arch liner.

iirc (it was a few years ago now) it was like a red plastic thing in the fusebox that you pulled out an inch or so and it was metal on the part that pulled out, it had a little booklet in the fusebox with instructions telling how to do it

It may well be drivers side regardless of hand drive.

Sometimes some parts are mirrored on LHD RHD, Focus A/C pipes under the wing for e.g.

It may also be a US spec to have a manual release, and not a EU spec.

Best of kcul with it..

Id assume with the in car lever being on the right hand side in the drivers footwell it would be odd to have a manual pull routed on the pass side?

Think im gonna ring the local porsche dealer tomor and check. cant be dealing with removing the wrong side!

Botters - cool will check tomor

Turn the ignition key to accessory 1 position? Or is it keyless ignition?
