Default Anyone know much about Williams clio 1's?

Just wondering if anyone is clued up on Williams Clion 1's?

Is it correct that they are around 150bhp?
Decent handling?

The car is in good condition, immaculate interior, 64,000 miles and totally standard.

Been looking at one and was wondering if anyone would have an idea of a value on it?

cheers,auld

Yes they are around 150bhp.
Handling is excellent for a car of that age, if its in good condition you would believe it was a modern hothatch from how well they go around bends.

Williams 1 should be non sunroof if its the original shell still.

They rot a lot.

Not sure on values TBH, best asking on the williams clio forum I would think.

I had a 1.8 16v clio a few years back and that was a great car had some good times in it and as chip says they handle very well for an old car. Not a williams but there very similar get it bought mate am sure you won't regret it.

I've had both,1.8 16v and a Williams track car on zzr 1100 bike carbs with 290 cams-it was super around circuits!

The williams have wider front track by a fair margin versus the normal 1.8 16v which does seem to improve the handling a bit.

PS

This is how much fun they are on track, even on the standard soft suspension, no matter how much you lean the thing over it just doesnt let go its like a limpet the way it holds the track!

Video from that session:

I even managed to get past this M3 in it despite the massive power difference!

And thats before I converted to williams widetrack and williams engine, that was when it was just a normal 16v with some weight taken out of it.
