Default BTCC NGTC Alloys

Just a quick question as I have searched the net and can only find out that the NGTC BTCC cars are now running 18" centre lock rims with 245/650/18 tyres.
What width are they though as this is not published anywhere. Can anyone tell me definately what size they are and not an assumption because of tyre size.
Do thay have a choice of width?
Any light on the subject much apreciated

I think the width is 245 the overall diameter is 650 and rim size 18 inch so roughly equal to 245 40 x 18. I am pretty sure that's how the size description works.

I think he means the width of the wheel itself.
I say 9"

I'm guessing 9" - makes most sense tbh but just wanted to know.

And I do know 245 on a slick is not 245 on a road tyre.

Theyre 10 x 18" Dynamics rims , sadly only available in 5 stud PCD tho due to the casting .
the centrelock system is a Porsche derived Gallard with a washer bolted to the rim .
Tyres are indeed 245/650x 18" in 004 Compound , they were originally specced for Seat Leon super Coppa cars with 9.5" wide rims .

You guessed my real reason and then it was answered in the next post lol.

I have 8"x18" rims and know there will soon be an influx of these tyres available. 245 (IN SLICK TERMS) is possibly too wide for me but I can get 245 road tyres on. I currently run 210/640/18 slicks for track use.

May pick some up if cheap enough

Yup , guessed that ,lol
245/650 x 18" is what will take us through the next 10 years , it took me a few years to educate people up to the 235/610 x 17" tyres of the TOCA/S-2000 cars and the 18"'s are going to be even harder work as the profile is quite tall , most will struggle with this as Evo's ,Escort and Scoobys are marginal on Bodywork with the 64 profile tyres weve supplied .
Just to make the point about race tyres sizes ,the Pirellis specced for exactly the same rims on the Seats were 265/645 x 18" compared to Dunlops 245/650 x 18" !

Thanks for the help and info Tony

I will struggle too with the profile - I am on 640 and I know its only a 10mm radius increase but its gonna be tight. Its on a track car so not too worried about mods to fit as like you say the next 10 years is now mapped out for us tyre wise lol.

Just while we are on topic and you are in the know - how much wider in cm is the 245 over the 210. I know it should be 35mm but is that the actual difference in reality?
