Default is this a mot failure

put new pro sport seats in my frst been told it will fail on mot as they dont tilt forward and the are now fixed in place as opposed to being on the runners is this true

I believe seats must be adjustable on the runners to pass current mot but buckets are ok as they don't need to tilt forward, not sure how it will go as a lot of track day cars will be in trouble, think they have relaxed it a little for competition cars but don't know how you prove it. Hopefully will all be more clear on mot regs soon as a lot of confusion about at the moment

Seats must only be adj on runners etc if a standard fittment,there are diffrent fules for modifications

Isn't the adjustable seat requirement because road testing will be back as part of the test?
Seat will need to adjust to fit all possible drivers.

Unless the owner is going to be allowed to drive whilst the tester accompanies them for the speedo test and brake test.

My drivers seat is bolted down, not adjustable, its been ok up til now......?

ok cheers been 4 long years in the oven cooking so lets hope it pass's tomorra ive insured her today i.ll post pictures hopefully of her up tomorra
