Default What exactly are Ahmed Springs?

Are they an in house made spring, or just his spec produced by a suspension firm?

Cheers Billy

Correct, They are Ahmed's own spec, Wound by Leda.
You should be able to purchase them Through Ahmed / Grove garage - 01708 726518.

The fronts are thinner than the rears. I got them on mine now and made a big difference.

Fronts are always thinners than rears,i know that but the ahmed 1s seem to have really chunky rears but fronts just look the same as standard, thickness wise

Ahmed springs are designed/wound/made to each cosworth.

Ie, escort saff and 3 door. Best thing I fit to both my cossies. Perfect stance and improved handling 10 fold.

Mike r sells them. £150 a set iirc

As above, Had them on my 2wd, 4x4 saffs, and then on my Escort, Lovely springs, seem to give a near standard ride with real nice feel through the twistys!!

i have, via customers, tried litereally every spring and damper combination available and for me, a roadgoing cosworth cannot be improved a lot further than Ahmed Springs and Koni's. They just work, and keep the ride height sensible. The tyre wear improvements alone with sensible ride height will probably pay you for the springs in a year. LOL

What about a 24v Saff, do they do the correct poundage springs, or four pots only?

Can't recommend them enough (track spec), combined with an uprated diff mount. Transformed my car.

Not really, being that the 24V engine isn't standard either! I mean they will most likely be better than what you have.

Ahmeds springs are designed to specifically work with specific Cosworth models, as said, unlike other's they arn't a one fits all affair, i.e. the springs are different for each model.
