Where abouts in kent are you lots of decent bodyshops around? I'm looking for one at the moment in Kent but thinking of maybe branching out further for quality

If you're after a great job the give Simon'n'Stu at Crash Corrections a bell on 01795-580937. They're based on the Isle of Sheppey which is where i'm from (handy having a great outfit like this on the doorstep!!!) and did a brilliant job on my S1 that's still as good to this day and my 3 door Cosworth is going down there next week for it's re-incarnation. Both jobs are sensible money for the amount of work that's being carried out and as they're entusiasts rather than bodgit and scarper mungers this is reflected in their work.
The only downside is the amount of time it sometimes takes to get the job done (they can be really busy at times) but at the end of the day i think the finished job is worth waiting for.

Hope this is of some help to you !!!

James

Hi mate,

Yeah i know Blue Town, can't say i know the body shop though.
I had mine sprayed in Sittingbourne.

My car has only been out about 3 times since it went on the road. It took a good 18 months to complete.

What car do you drive?

Katie; Biggin Hill to Sheppey is a bit of a drive but i'm surre it'd be worth the travel !!!

ZVHTurbo; Unfortunately i'm not driving a RS daily at the moment. My last daily driver RS was a Moondust Silver J plt 4x4 Sierra Cosworth but i sold that to get my 3 door Cosworth which is currently finished in a stunning (not) White with Red and Blue stripe combo topped off with some corking 'Chic' graphics !!! I got this last October and have slowly been gathering the bits so i can get it down to be painted.
My daily drive at the mo' is a 2.8 Injection Capri but even that's off the road at the moment due to a hole in the petrol pump.
I own a D plate S1 RS Turbo too (D500 LVP) but, like yours, this has only been out 3 time since i got it painted nearly three years ago !!!
You've probably seen a few of my RS's around the island as i've had eighteen of them since turning 17 a few (eight!) years ago.

Maybe this is why the respray is still so good?

I have seen there work on a car and well i wouldn't use them As this same car is going in for another respray

At the end of the day it's peoples experiences with companies/individuals that go to people making recommendations. My dealings with these guys have been without problem and the standard of their work carried out on both mine and friends cars has been good but each to their own i guess !!!

I had mine done by an old fella who works in Sidcup, one man band type affair so you know its going to be spot on

He had the cabbie for about 4-5 weeks i think, Benn 304r on here had his car done there too, that was there nearer 8 weeks i think.

PM me if you want his name/number.

Yes Billy, that's the car !!! I've been collecting bits for it since buying the car and waiting for my slot at Crash Corrections to come round. I've got new headlights, foglights, indicators, side repeaters, rear clusters, 2 x new doors, new bonnet, new bonnet vents, new front bumper, new front splitter, new wiper arms, new aerial, new gearknob, new steering wheel, Koni adjustables, Ram Air filter, de-silencered stainless steel exhaust, Tar-Ox 40 slot front and rear discs, new ford badges, new rear tailgate decal, replacement lower dashboard, a set of freshly refurbed 17" Rondell 122 alloys with Pirelli P7000 tyres to name but a few things. A fortune spent and a fortune still to spend !!! Just as well i got it cheap !!!
