hi there peeps just need a bit of help iv just had the head gasket done an skimmed now iv got the rs bk the temp is high at the top just under the red but the fan kicks in an stays on? i spoke to my mechanic an he said every think is good an the temp gauge might be faulty? plz someone help really stressed out.cheers.

Sounds like an air lock if the heaters are not working aswell.
Is there water returning to the header tank?

 

If the fans stay on and they didnt before as well as the gauge now sitting just under the red then you are hot for sure.
Heaters blowing cold air of not blowing at all?

I've never had a air lock on a CVH coolant system but with the engine running and header tank cap off go around squeezing all your coolant hoses, also if some feel hot and other cold then the water is not getting to the cold ones, ergo there may be an air lock.

If thats the case it has nothing to do with the coolant system, thats a separate electrical fault.

 

all the pipes are hot the same but the temp is in norm at the top N but iv only got 1 slim line fan on the rad could that b the problem an the fan is kickin in late an thats all happening on tick over.

 

and the fans are stayin on?

 

Get a low temp stat
