Default ZT Sounds like my dip stick is hitting something?! lol

Have a listen to this video and take a look at the pic....

Now the tube is obviously no where near in it's original position because the manifold/PAS pump bracket fouls it, so I'm thinking the stick itself is pointing a different direction and maybe hitting the crank or a rod? Can't remember where it pokes out in relation to anything else though so not sure.
What have you other ZT owners that run the black top water pump done with your dip stick tubes?

Cheers!

I know when the zetecs were new. A few M.O.T centres broke zetecs as they had to take the oil temps for the emmisions from the dipstick. the sensor would go to far down and wrap round the crank

Yes thats my problem! Look where a ST170 dip stick is supposed to be....

Which is what I have as it's a ST170 bottom end!

Looks like I just need a normal black top dip stick tube!

Won't fit (w/o modification) with an RST manifold, what does the tube look like where it enters the block? Is it on the piss?

just get a regular blacktop dipstick and tube.
my blacktop stick and tube clears manifold just fine, essentially the st170 block/sump is the same.

Just FYI I carefully bent the tube into the shape of a normal Mondeo one and it no longer hits anything!
