My first post so please be kind.

Having issues with my front hub. The retaining screw snapped off and I have been trying to drill it out but I have buggered it up. I know you don't really need it but it is just a pain when you come to put the wheels back on and have to line 3 holes up to get the nuts in.
My question is, I have heard that the mk5 has the outer bolts on the rotor part and you can use it on the mk4. Is this correct? If so, is a straight swap? I an guessing it is just the rotor part which needs to be changed and not the whole hub. This would be ideal if it does work and I would be able to scrap the stupid retaining screw rotor.

All you need is a threaded bar to screw in so you can fit wheel on then unscrew the bar once other 3 are fitted

 

Ps mk5 have studs pressed into clean holes

 

leave it out and get on with your life, its no biggie, if the disk needs to come off hammer it over the screw, if you need the disk do it carefully with wood to save denting it
