i have a s1 zvh efi and my starter solenoid keeps getting heatsoak,my downpipe is heatwrapped and its still the same
its a old starter motor so looking to replace it but need a used one today ideally
ive been told 1.8 diesel mondeo but a little unsure?
will a standard zetec one fit and spin over fast enough for the compression difference
i know it will bolt up but will the flywheel teeth be the same(i presume they will be)

any help much appreciated

Not sure if a mondeo one will fit.
Pretty sure any escort or fiesta starter will that's is mounted to the front of the engine.
I'd buy new and keep getting it exchanged under warranty.
There not that expensive.
