Hi all, now having to scrap the cossie engine idea due to lack of funds....and the wife telling me where my priorities are so now gone back to the original plan.... so now looking for a pinto turbo engine. Please let me know if you have one or if you know someone that wants to sell one.

You'll spend as much on a pinto turbo as a YB.
You can run a standard 205 injection pinto up to 12psi safe. But you need an exhaust manifold. They are on eBay

Cheaper to just get something like a c20let vauxhall engine which goes straight onto a rwd cossie box with an adaptor plate I would think.

They are good. Unless you try to ram 25psi into then and expect cossie power.
Mine has ran fine for 6 years at a safe 7 to 10 psi. It's under 200 bhp but fine for my mk2.

you could have that power on a set of 48's

and it would sound better

turbo pinto is a wast of time considering what you could have instead

ie st170 on bodys or as said c20let

I would like to see a pinto do 200 bhp on 48's. you would need to spend YB money on one to do it. The myth about big power pinto's is crap. All the big power n/a pinto's are trick motors and big money.
I bolted a second hand T3 onto my 2.0 pinto EFi and got just under 200 bhp. Cheap power for the money.

i'am not chasing bhp numbers just a bit more power touque and turbo noise

may be put a set of second hand cossy piston in there

even if you could for reasonable money it would be a horrible road engine with a crap torque curve compared to a turbo
