Im wondering if anyone can help.

My mum got a new 2012 fiesta last week and i asked if the ford dealer could activate the autolock function on it so when she drives off the doors lock.

They said they looked in the GEM modual but arent able to turn it on, on the new 2012 model.

Does anyone know if it true or can it be activated?

Id be suprised if you cant as you used to be able to do it yourself on the older fords with combination of the door handle and ignition.

Any help would be great

I've read a couple of threads on various fiesta owner forums, they never seem to come up with an answer other than mentioning a mod involving a soldering iron and the brake pedal which they never elaborate on

 

Dunno if id go that far on her car

I cant see why they would take such a simple and useful option out of the GEM modual

There is quite a bit of car jacking here lately and if it was easy would prefer it to be switched on for her.
