Default Alarm bonnet switch

Is there any way of over riding or bypassing the standard ford alarm bonnet switch,if I just disconnect the switch will it cause the alarm to go off more or just not arm the bonnet?
It's on a K reg saph

Be interesting to know, I was toying with the idea of unplugging the alarm horn near the battery.

I would like to disconnect the standard alarm all together......

I would say no, you can disconnect it.

The switch is normally closed anyway, so it's the same difference to when the bonnet is down, certainly works on other alarms.

Just the bonnet won't be protected by the alarm.

are there 2 wires or 4?
if 2 disconnect it 4 tape it into the close position and hide it behind something

ps i dont know if they do have the 4 wire type but some cars do and its bad to cut em out or unplug
