so woke up today went n bought tax for car yay so im fucking ecstatic get to drive my baby. well first things first got to do all the usual checks oil coolant tyre pressure all the bulldonkey as she was sitting since oct. so just incase i go top up gearbox oil and spill quite a bit of it on my drive in the process,so fire her up and away i go well where shall i go i ask myself fuck it macduff so o...ff i head get as far as turra and the car starts cutting out on me BASTARD so im basically stalling at every junction unless i keep feathering the throttle and using the handbrake a bit more to slow the car down,(this got highly entertaining when i got into macduff but ill get there in a minute)so i stall and wait oh no the car wont start battery is foooked should have bought one last week when i was in seeing my buddy stu at autoparts but i didnt so what do i do emma cant push the car and im nae wanting joe bloggs pushing it scratching my paint so luckily im near the top of a hill and manage to roll far enough to get going and bump start the car.right lets go get a battery fae alfie in turra who kindly let me use a few tools to fit it outside his shop while having a crack and talk about the years show season ahead of us.anyway 45 quid later and a cracking new battery with more oomph than the old one so this should help my subs along a little.now lets head to the petrol station top up and stuff in some red ex coz i was low on fuel and as my journey progressed i thought maybe some shit in the tank was in the fuel filter or something coz the bitch just wont idle so fuelled up and shot up to macduff coz after all that time waiting to drive my car i wasnt going to let it ruin my day.so in macduff its worse but driveable and im thinking a trip to ricky gauld is in order get the fuelling set up so i pullover and find a boost hose has worked its way loose thank fuck.but wait to rub salt in the wounds paul rocks on past slagging the fordie and bigging up the vauxhall damn so after a brief catch up and an offer of a tow back to urie(or should i say persley cheers paul)i head down the steep hill in macduff hoping noone steps out infront of me coz at any given moment the engine could cut out and my breaks become virtually non existant but i made it and tootled round to the spotty bag shop to buy a screwdriver and tighten up the jubilee clip car is now fixed yay! so off to fochabers grab some munch and head home.so all in all a 110 mile journey a big smile on my face and a full belly later i arrive home having loved every minute.

I had drama too! My starter engaged at 80-90 mph on the motorway!!! Wires earthing! Lucky I carry a trolley jack!

Burnt my hand on the downpipe as the starter was still turning even with keys out and I never had a spanner for battery!!! :O
